MAC Beauty Balm

MAC BB

I really wanted to like this stuff and its not that I don’t. To start, I bought the wrong color, it was two shades too light so I ended up giving it to a friend who loves it. My experience with it was that I honestly didn’t notice a difference in the way my foundation looked after applying the bb cream. Because of that I have no intentions of tryin it again in the near future with the correct shade. I’m in love with their Prep + Prime CC Cream, which used to be part of a different line under another name, because it gives me the results that I need. My skin actually looks brighter and has a glow. This CC cream in “adjust” is a staple in my makeup kit.

Sonia Kashuk Bath & Body for Target

skbathbody

This line is absolutely attractive and amazing! I stumbled upon it during one of my many trips to Target and decided to buy the black loofah because I thought it looked cool, I needed a new one, and I had never seen a black one before (at least not in recent memory). Other than how cool it looks and how plush it is, it’s pretty much a regular loofah sponge that gets the job done for $4.99. It’s a little on the pricey side but I think it’s worth it because it feels nice, fluffy, and smooth, and its good quality. It also has a rubber loop that you can hang it from your shower caddy with¬†instead of the traditional yarn and to me that was a bonus. ūüėČ

Have you tried Sonia Kashuk’s Holiday line at Target?

Lush Lemony Flutter

lemony flutter

Lemony Flutter by Lush is such a great buy! Winter is right around the corner and I already know that my skin is going to suffer, especially my hands and cuticles. So to stay proactive and help prevent what I know is sure to come, I purchased this product after trying it once. When I say this product is as smooth as butter and smells like sweet lemons, I kid you not. And it so moisturizing that a little goes a very long way. It costs $16.95, but its well worth it and will last you a long time. Again, I’ve copy and pasted an excerpt from lush for your viewing pleasure. ūüôā

LEMONY, BUTTERY CUTICLE CREAM

We made Lemony Flutter to soften your dry, cracked cuticles and nourish your nails; it’s our thickest, zestiest cream yet. In fact, it’s so good at softening, our customers have been using it on other rough body parts, like feet, elbows and knees too. Fresh lemons infusion is lovingly blended in our rich butter base to brighten skin and lighten nails. Each batch contains twenty-two pounds of beeswax and cold-pressed avocado oil to moisturize and soften your skin. There are so many nutritious butters and oils in each pot, it’s no wonder that such a little amount can go such a long way.

FEATURES

  • Must-have:¬†This is the product that quickly changes from a whim to can‚Äôt-live-without.
  • No more rough stuff:¬†Softens hard skin all over the body, especially the cuticles and elbows.
  • Sunny citrus:¬†Lemons are excellent for brightening skin and softening rough areas.

Lush “Happy Happy Joy Joy” conditioner

Lush-Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy-Hair

I decided to order this product online after reading some of the reviews and already being a fan of Lush, I thought I would give it a try. It’s called “Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy” and it’s a vegan conditioner that supposed to leave your hair soft and moisturized. ¬†After using this conditioner a few times, I can’t tell if my hair is more conditioned or moisturized, but it does leave my hair smelling awesome! It’s texture is ¬†extremely light, it’s definitely not like any of their other conditioners which are a little thicker. The orange blossom smells great and I would say it’s more like a hair perfume than a conditioner. Maybe more like a leave in conditioner? If nothing else I will use it to make my hair smell amazing! I’ve copy and pasted a description of the product from http://www.lushusa.com for a better overview of the product.

BEAUTIFIES, CONDITIONS AND PERFUMES

Finally, another vegan conditioner! A rose water, orange blossom water and almond milk base soften, beautify and condition hair. It works wonderfully on bleached and over-processed hair, and on everyone else too as it is rich and moisturizing, but doesn’t weigh hair down. Orange flower absolute, rosewood and grapefruit oils perfume your hair to make you feel Happy Happy all day long.

FEATURES

  • Light and creamy:¬†It’s moisturizing and conditioning, but not quite as thick as the other conditioners.
  • It’s Vegan!¬†Our vegan friends have been asking us for another conditioner for a while, so we made this one in addition to Veganese.
  • So good, we named it twice! This conditioner has such a cheerful perfume, and makes our hair so softy and silky that we had to name it Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Camille Rose Naturals

CRAlgae

I’ve heard so many good things about the Camille Rose Naturals line. While I was in New York I had to visit a local Target store to see what their ethnic hair section looked like. OMG! I was so overwhelmed. They carried every product that I use and then some! At first I couldn’t decide which product I wanted to get. I was torn between getting the Algae renew deep conditioner, the Curl Love Moisture Milk, or the Curl Maker. I’m so glad that I got this product. #1, the smell is awesome! It smells like warm hot chocolate, and the feel of it is so soft. As soon an I applied it to my hair, my hair felt like butter and it was baby soft. I’ve been on the hunt for deep conditioners because I’m going to get more highlights in my hair on August 23rd, so I wanted to be proactive in protecting my hair as much as possible before I get bleached. At first I was hesitant about buying this product because I thought it would be similar to the Shea Moisture hair mask which was a major disappointment ¬†and did absolutely nothing for my hair. This product gets an ¬†A+. I’ve included the product description and a link to the Camille Rose Naturals site.

Elf Mineral Infused Face Primer

ELF-mineral-primer1

This is actually one of the better buys of Elf Cosmetics. I’ve used this primer about three times and I can’t tell a difference between this and Smashbox’s best-selling primer. They have a similar consistency. This feels like a gel souffle and it is transparent and creates the perfect canvas to apply foundation. It doesn’t leave me feeling greasy or anything. I’m not sure what the ingredients are, but yesterday I pumped out a little too much of this product and the smell reminded me of gasoline. Lol, I know that’s not a good thing, but you get what you pay for. I picked mine up from Target for $3 dollars, so I’m not complaining.

What’s your #1 go to primer?

Lush Hair Doctor

Hair-Doctor-Hair-Treatment

Lush cosmetics have definitely been a god send. Every product that I’ve tried by them thus far has worked exceptionally which is why after reading the product description and reviews of this product, I thought that I would fall in love. I’ve been looking for a good scalp exfoliating cleanser that wouldn’t sud, but would rid my hair of ¬†the product build up, dandruff, and other irritations. I followed the directions and applied the product to my scalp and felt the cool tingle from the peppermint.¬†I didn’t distribute the product to the rest of my hair, just because it was fairly thick and I just wanted to concentrate on the health of my scalp. After the first few uses, I think it helped balance my scalp, but it didn’t get rid of this rash that I have around the front of my hair line, which I was hoping it would. ¬†Because of that and the fact that it doesn’t have a long shelf life and it needs to be refrigerated, I will not be purchasing this product again. This product feels like a cool chocolate mousse and must be refrigerated. It does not have a long shelf life and lasts for ¬†less than two weeks which is unfortunate because I’m not even half way through mine and it expires tomorrow. I’m going to continue using it until the jar is empty so I can get my monies worth, and who knows, by then it may actually start working. Below is a description of the product taken from http://www.lushusa.com.
